TODAY’S PREDICTION: It’s the first semi-final of the CFP tonight on ESPN. The Fighting Irish are only 1.5-point favorites over the Nittany Lions, so it’s expected to be a close one.

My 2 cents: This is expected to be a low-scoring game with two great defenses.

The key will be Penn State QB, Drew Allar. In Penn State’s two losses this season, Allar threw 5 picks (3 against Oregon and 2 against OSU). Notre Dame is 3rd in the country in turnover margin (18 more takeaways than their opponents).
I think if Allar takes care of the football, the Nittany Lions get it done, but if he gives Riley Leonard a few extra possessions, the Irish will prevail.
