Ugh just a brutal blow for USC, JuJu Watkins, and frankly, the women’s NCAA tournament.

In USC’s second-round blowout win against Mississippi State, the Trojans lost their star guard to an ACL injury.

Watkins is one of the new faces of the sport and has been dominant this season (averaging ~24 points, 7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists for the top-seeded Trojans).

You just hate to see it.

TODAY’S TRIVIA: In very unrelated news, the Winnipeg Jets (top seed in the west) took down the Washington Capitals (top seed in the east) 3-2 in OT.

Although his team did not capture the win, Alex Ovechkin’s late 3rd-period goal brought him only 6 goals away from breaking Wayne Gretzky's all-time NHL goals record of 894 with 11 games left in the regular season.
