Friday Trivia

It wasn’t the result I hoped for, but that was some great hockey. The majority of you picked Canada to win in OT, and many of you were right.

Almost 15 years ago, Sydney Crosby delivered an overtime winner, and now the new face of hockey, Connor McDavid, did the same.

ICYMI, here’s the OT winner.

Next year, the US will have another shot in Italy at the Winter Olympics.

The 4 Nations Face-Off showed us that with any of these All-Star games or “best on best” matchups, it comes down to the players and their will to win. This tournament was so fun because of how bought-in these players were — players were playing hurt, hitting was up, and All-Star players bought into secondary roles for the good of the team.

All I want now is for a rematch of this game next year. Spoil us universe.

TODAY’S TRIVIA: We will stick with hockey (see what I did there).

Last night, former Team USA Captain, Mike Eruzione made an appearance right before the opening puck drop. The left winger was critical in the “Miracle on Ice” win over the Soviet Union (and eventually the Gold Medal).

What year was the "Miracle on Ice?"

Hint: This year’s Winter Olympics was hosted by Lake Placid, NY

Yesterday’s Prediction: Canada beat the United States in the Four Nations Face-Off, 3-2 in OT.

Thanks for playing. See you tomorrow.
