Sunday Madness
How’s your bracket doing? We will take a break from the madness tomorrow, but we have one more question today. The last day of the opening weekend starts today in the South Region at 12:10pm ET on CBS where Colorado (10) takes on Marquette (2).
Morning thought bubble: I was upset to see Jack Gohlke and his Golden Grizzlies couldn’t get past NC State in OT. Of course, I missed the best game of the day: the double overtime matchup where Crieghton took down the Ducks to end the last Pac-12 champion’s run. Hate to not see it.
Yesterday’s question: The last team to go back-to-back was the Florida Gators who won in the 05-06 season, returned all 5 starters including Al Horford, Corey Brewer, and Joakim Noah, and repeated in 2007.

Yesterday, Gonzaga advanced to the Sweet 16 for the 9th straight season thanks to a big second half where they outscored Kansas 46-24 (final score: 89-68). They play the winner of Purdue (1) and Utah State (8); the game starts at 2:40pm ET on CBS. With 9 straight, they now tie Duke for the third-longest Sweet 16 streak in NCAA history.
