The NHL Awards took place Thursday night with Colorado’s Nathan MacKinnon (C) winning his first Hart Trophy (MVP). Chicago's Connor Bedard (C) won for best rookie, Winnipeg's Connor Hellebuyck for best goalie, and Vancouver's Quinn Hughes for defenseman.
At the same time, the NHL draft just wrapped up with BU’s Macklin Celebrini (C) going first overall to the Sharks.

Yesterday’s Prediction: Jonas Vinegegaard is the two-time defending champion. This year will be a tricky one to win, as he suffered a punctured lung and several broken ribs from an injury back in April. His biggest rival, Tadej Pogačar, is the favorite after winning the Giro d'Italia by almost 10 minutes.

Two were drafted first overall
