Tuesday Trivia
Alright, so it’s April Fool’s Day, and instead of giving you a big eye-roll with a bad joke, I thought I’d share the current stories in the sports world that I think are a joke:
The Tush-Push Ban: It’s hilarious that a play with this name is on the chopping block because the Super Bowl champs happen to be really good at it.
The fact that Aaron Rodgers still doesn’t have a job. As a Vikings fan, I love this, and I hope he stays far away from J.J. McCarthy and the Minnesota locker room
The four No. 1 Seeds in the Final Four: So many analysts picked these 4 to be the four regional champions, and got torn apart on social media for their “Chalk” brackets, a term that comes from horse racing when the odds would be written on chalk. It refers to when you are picking the favorites to win. Now, those same experts have the last laugh
The Mavericks this season: again, my bias is showing (Lakers fan), but you can’t tell me they haven’t been a disaster
I’m not sure if this counts as a joke, but everyone for so long believed that Gretzky’s goal record was unbreakable. Ovechkin (39) will have the last laugh as he sits only 5 games back from the record with 9 games to play
As the NHL playoffs get closer, I love to remind people that the last time a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup was in 1993. Hilarious
I contemplated putting the Yankees’ new “torpedo bats” on this list, but I feel like it’s not long before these are the new norm, instead, I will remind you of these comical “overlap” hats.

TODAY’S TRIVIA: Back to business.
The Miami Marlins’ rookie shortstop Chet "Boomstick" McGinty has taken the baseball world by storm, smashing six home runs in his first five career games, shattering the previous record of 3 homers.
Who held the previous record?click to reveal |
Hint: This Reds rookie set the record in 2019
Yesterday’s Trivia: Mario Chalmers and the Kansas Jayhawks (1) beat Derrick Rose and the Memphis Tigers (1) to win the 2008 National Title.

Thanks for playing. See you tomorrow.
