Friday Trivia

Alright, who’s contending this week? Winner announced on Monday.

I’ve decided that September will be weekly challenges with a monthly challenge potentially kicking off in October.

TODAY’S TRIVIA: We have a guaranteed American finalist (M) for the US Open.

Taylor Fritz (12) and Frances Tiafoe (20) play tonight in the men’s semifinal and face the winner of Jannik Sinner (1) and Jack Draper (25) on Sunday.

The winner will become the first American to make a men’s Grand Slam final since Andy Roddick in 2009 at Wimbledon.

Who defeated Andy Roddick in that 2009 Wimbledon final?

No hint today.

Yesterday’s Trivia: The Steelers won Super Bowl XL by defeating the Seahawks 21-10.

Also, while fact-checking this, I saw that Ben Roethlisberger went 9/21 for 123 yards and two picks (22.6 passer rating). Yeesh

Details on the weekly challenge:

I missed you. We’re back with a new setup:

Each week, there will be a new challenge.

The majority of the time, it will be in a format similar to what you're used to (an NBA question, an NFL question, an MLB question, etc.). Sometimes there will be a week with a specific theme (Olympics, a specific sport, a specific event, etc.). But each week, there will be a new winner with prizes for specific weeks.

Generally speaking, the questions should increase in difficulty as the week goes on (M→F).

I will announce the winners each Monday morning. That same day, the next challenge will begin. I will reach out to you if you are a winner to collect your name and information.

Lots of winners, lots of fun. Get it?

Thanks for playing. See you tomorrow.
