Championship Trivia
Morning thought bubble: I wish we got more out of the Mavs in game one and I hope they can at least make this a series. The Celtics with Porzingis back on the floor looked good and their defense (which doesn’t feature a ton of double teams) seemed to frustrate everyone but Luka. Game 2 is Sunday in Boston.
TODAY’S TRIVIA — Happy Friday! The Stanley Cup final starts tomorrow and the Florida Panthers have the opportunity to bring Miami its 4th and final championship across all major sports leagues (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB).
Miami would become the 10th metro/city to win a title in all four major sports leagues.
Which one of these metros/cities does NOT have a title in all four major sports leagues?click to reveal |
*In this list above, I did not include Detroit and St. Louis because there’s a bit of ambiguity. Detroit has 11 Stanley Cups, 4 World Series, 3 NBA championships, and 4 NFL Championships (but no Super Bowls). St. Louis has 11 World Series, 1 Stanley Cup, 1 Super Bowl, and 1 NBA championship (they were the St. Louis Hawks before moving to Atlanta and won the title in 1958).
Hints below if you need them. No hints = Hard. 1 hint = Medium. 2 hints = Easy.
Yesterday’s Trivia: Top seeded India is the favorite to win the T-20 Cricket World Cup, which kicked off this week in the US and West Indies.
This metro/city is missing one championship
Got it yet? Go on to hint number 2 if you’re still not sure.
